Man Charged After Stabbing On Megabus Service

Mulazim Khan a law student at the University of Gloucestershire - who appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court is accused of attacking a fellow passenger on the popular budget bus service.

The stabbing took place place on Easter Sunday at around 4pm, as the double-decker bus was parked outside Royal Well bus station in Cheltenham town, destined for London. In the incident, a 28 year old unnamed victim, suffered “stab wounds” to both his chin and face, and remains in a stable condition at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Passengers were told to disembark from the bus, which was bound for London via Swindon, as an ambulance and several police cars raced to the scene.

The man was remanded in custody and will face Gloucester Crown Court on 29th April.
