Megabusplus combines Megabus coach services with some train services operated by parent company, Stagecoach Group. In Northern England Megabus coaches leaving from Burnley, Colne, Nelson, Skipton, Keighley, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Harrogate, York, Castleford, Hull & Scunthorpe travel to East Midlands Parkway and join Stagecoach owned East Midlands Trains to London St Pancras. In Southern England services from Honiton, Okehampton, Bude, Collumpton, Tiverton, Barnstaple, Honiton, Exeter Airport, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, Plymouth, St Austell, Truro & Penzance travel to Southampton Airport Parkway where passengers can connect onto Stagecoach owned, South West Trains to Bournemouth.

When you travel with Megabus your allowed to take either 1, 2 or 3 bags depending on their size but no baggage can exceed 25kg and not exceed 200cm (width + height + depth). If your taking 2 or 3 bags, they must not exceed the total allowance of 1 bag, for example 2 bags weighed together must weigh a maximum of 25kg and not exceed 200cm together. Although luggage is not checked or provide any receipt for luggage, they will charge £5 per excess baggage on services between London and Glasgow.

Megabusplus operate point to point services and do not make comfort stops at service stations. Coaches will usually have onboard toilets and all services have seat belts. Some services provide Wifi and Megabus aim to roll this out to all services in the future. When using East Midlands Trains and South West Trains passengers can enjoy onboard toilets, onboard wifi and refreshment services.

Passengers who have walking difficulties or who would normally use a wheelchair or scooter but can manage a few steps can store their wheelchair or scooter FREE of charge in the luggage compartment in addition to their luggage allowance above, the driver will load this onto the coach and assist you into your seat.

If you need to stay in your wheelchair for the journey please DO NOT book your ticket online as not all coaches are accessable and you will need to contact Megabus on 0141 332 9644 (calls charged at standard rate, local or international call charges may apply depending on location) and make your booking with the call centre. They will then check availability for your journey plans and if space is available book you and if applicable, your personal care attendant onto the service you require. They can then arrange for a wheelchair accessable coach with ramp or lift to be allocated to that journey. Megabus take care to ensure that their services are accessable by everybody, but not all coaches are fitted with a ramp or lift for wheelchair users, its important that you call the operator as far in advance as possible but no less than 48 hours before your intended journey to ensure the right coach is allocated to your journey. Although Megabus will make every effort to help if you call within 48hrs they can't guarantee an accessable coach is available and therefore may refuse you travel if you can't be safely accommodated on the coach.

Megabusplus services usually stop in town & city centres but some destinations are served by using outer stops or stations to speed up journey times. For most people this isn't a problem as those few areas that use outer stops will still have easy access to the centre by using local transport and are only moments away from the centre of the town or city. when you book your ticket please check the location as it maybe outside of the main centre.

Megabusplus tickets can not be cancelled or refunded if you chose not to travel. You can amend them online via the Megabus website upto 24hrs before departure. If you have a return ticket, the journeys will need to be amended separately. Passengers will be charged £1/€1 to amend a journey and then pay any difference in cost betwee the original ticket and the new ticket purchased however if the new reservation is less expensive than the original reservation, then any difference in price will be forfeited by the customer and no credit will be received.
